The ultimate edition
The C 63 S Edition 1 was created to mark the launch of the all-new W205 AMG in 2015. Available during the first year of C 63 production only, it was based on the more powerful C 63 S and came with a host of cosmetic, comfort and entertainment upgrades for a £7,000 premium.
Mechanically identical to the C 63 S, you could very reasonably argue that the Edition 1 didn’t need anything more. Boasting 510hp and 700 Nm of torque from the 4.0-litre twin-turbo ‘hot-vee’ V8, this is a family estate car that will accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds and go on to an electronically limited top speed of 180mph, if specified with the optional Driver’s Package.

Power under control
As impressive as the W205’s straight-line punch, however, is its ability to manage this power, putting it to the road and covering ground with serious composure compared to its contemporary rivals. The Edition 1, as with the standard S model, came with even greater dynamic performance thanks to an electronically controlled rear differential, dynamic engine mounts and larger 390mm brakes.
As an estate, this particular Edition 1 is exceptionally rare, with the vast majority of the already rare Edition 1s sold in saloon form. In addition to that, this one-owner example has been specified with some desirable extras over and above the generous standard specification.

A perfect example
It is in extremely good condition, the finish of its recently detailed bodywork and interior absolutely doing justice to the pumped-up AMG styling. There are no faults with any of the car’s systems, and certainly not with its sensational driving experience. It has covered 32,000 miles and comes with a full MB service history, while the MOT expires 11/03/2020. Six months remain on manufacturer’s warranty (extension available upon request). Viewings and test drives welcome.
